Description

Transilvania Digital Innovation Summit, Cluj-Napoca, October 8, 2026 The Transilvania Digital Innovation Summit, organized by the Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub (TDIH) with the support of the European Commission and national partners, under the coordination of the Transilvania IT Cluster, is the region’s flagship event dedicated to digital transformation, artificial intelligence, innovation, and close collaboration between the public, private, and academic sectors.

Hosted at the Elitis Events Center in Cluj-Napoca, this new edition of the summit brings together technology leaders, top entrepreneurs, public administration officials, researchers, and international experts. The shared goal remains accelerating the adoption of advanced digital solutions and strengthening a regional innovative ecosystem that is sustainable and highly competitive on the global market.

The event is designed as an interactive and highly practical platform focused on tangible results. Digitalization is approached beyond theoretical concepts, emphasizing real-world examples, live technology demonstrations, and applied solutions that can be directly implemented in business processes and the public sector.

The main themes of this year’s edition target fundamental strategic directions for societal and economic transformation, such as: artificial intelligence and complex data analysis (AI & Data), cybersecurity, advanced solutions for digital health and education (Digital Health & Education), the development of smart and resilient communities (Smart Communities), alongside Industry 4.0 and industrial automation.

The extensive agenda includes applied presentations, interactive panel discussions, a dynamic exhibition area dedicated to showcasing emerging technologies, as well as exclusive networking and matchmaking sessions designed to facilitate new strategic partnerships between companies, startups, public authorities, and investors.

Context The North-West region of Romania, and Cluj-Napoca in particular, consistently reaffirms its position as a central digital innovation hub in Central and Eastern Europe, a status supported by the close cooperation between clusters, prestigious universities, and the local tech community.

Within this framework, the Transilvania Digital Innovation Hub (TDIH) plays a catalytic and strategic role in guiding the digital transformation of SMEs and improving public sector efficiency. Through specialized technology testing services, digital skills development, and facilitating access to European funding, TDIH – alongside its associate partners (Transylvanian Furniture Cluster, AgroTransilvania Cluster, Transylvania Energy Cluster, and the Transilvania Creative Industries Cluster) – continues to boost regional economic competitiveness in line with European priorities regarding the twin digital and green transition.
